Defense System

The fact is, all the fire precautions you take with your commercial property just aren’t enough to tackle wildfires. There are actually vulnerabilities all over your “fireproof” building.

Let’s explore just how Frontline’s Commercial Defense System actually works. Designed for large and complex industrial or commercial properties (by firefighters, technologists, and ecologists) to deliver automated, 24-7 protection by soaking the building and its surroundings in a combination of water and firefighting foam. This helps stop wildfire embers before they set your structure ablaze. We call it proactive hydration, and it works.

Frontline’s software lets you remotely activate your facility’s exterior sprinklers, keeping your staff safe while actively defending your property. Every system comes with battery backup power as well as WiFi, cellular, and satellite connectivity so you can help defend your business during wildfire conditions.

Combined, the burn areas and Severely Affected Areas (SFAs) affected over 6,800 businesses and more than 47,000 workers.

Businesses in the burn areas generated $1.4 billion annually prior to the fires; those in SFAs accounted for $6.8 billion in annual revenue.

Total output losses across all affected zones are projected between $5.2 billion and $10.1 billion.

Between 28,000 and 55,000 job-years are expected to be impacted.

Labor income losses are estimated at $2.2 to $4.2 billion.

The devastating fires in the greater LA area were a critical test for wildfire prevention companies like Frontline. 61 Frontline systems were activated to protect homes in some of the hardest-hit areas. See how our systems performed and how effective our wildfire prevention solutions can be.

QUESTIONS? WE HAVE ANSWERS.

Can the system be activated if we’ve already evacuated?

Yes. Remote activation is a core feature of Frontline’s Commercial Defense System. The system can be operated via the Frontline app from anywhere at anytime.

My building already has an internal sprinkler system. Why do I need a wildfire defense system for the outside?

Interior sprinklers are designed to respond to fires that start inside your building. By the time wildfire embers have breached your building and triggered your suppression system, ignition has already occurred. You’re no longer preventing a fire, you’re fighting one.

What types of industrial or commercial facilities does Frontline protect?

Current wildfire defense applications include warehouses and distribution centers, data centers, manufacturing facilities, medical centers and healthcare campuses, commercial office and retail properties, wineries and agricultural estates, and private schools and camps.

How is this commercial wildfire system different from a standard exterior sprinkler?

This is a purpose-built system, using multi-zone architecture with coverage specifically engineered around commercial wildfire ignition behavior: rooflines, eave and facade transitions, and perimeters.

Can you guarantee the building won’t be burned?

We cannot make that claim. However, the system dramatically reduces the risk of ignition and significantly increases your facility’s survivability. Remember, 96% of Frontline-protected buildings survived the 2025 LA fires.

Images shown are simulated renderings for illustrative purposes.

*Past Results Are Not a Predictor of Future Performance. Based on 2025 Los Angeles wildfire outcomes: 59 of 61 Frontline-protected homes remained intact, though some experienced minor damage. Not all homes were within the official burn perimeter but were in areas at risk from ember exposure or active wildfire conditions. Results may vary. System performance depends on site conditions, maintenance, water availability, power, and network connectivity. Wildfires are inherently unpredictable and dangerous. Use of the Frontline Commercial Defense System is not a guarantee against loss of life or property from a wildfire.
